DAVAO CITY – Unbeaten Jay-Ar “Hitman” Inson of Davao City will be fighting for the vacant WBO Asia Pacific welterweight title on December 4 at the Edion Arena in Osaka, Japan.

Inson, who has a record of 12 straight wins with 8 knockouts is facing Japanese Ryota Yada (12W-3L-0D-10 KOs).

“Excited na talaga ako sa unang laban ko sa labas,” said the 26-year old Inson of MP Davao Gym.

He will be accompanied by his chief trainer Raides “Nonoy” Neri, one of the assistant trainers of newly-crowned WBO world welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao.

The 5-foot-10 southpaw has been sparring with his stablemate Adones Cabalquinto, who is also preparing for his coming championship fight with OPBF super lightweight champion Al Rivera on Nov. 25 in Santa Rosa, Laguna.

Inson previously won against Minproba featherweight champion Jaime Barcelona by a unanimous decision last August 23 in Kidapawan City.

Inson is also a former interim WBO Oriental lightweight champion. He won it via a 2nd round technical knockout win against Indonesian Victor Mausul last August 14, 2015 at the SM City Annex in Davao City.

Yada, on the other hand, has scored eight knockouts in his last nine fights.

He stopped Thailand’s Kaewmorrakot Sakamnuoy in the 3rd round by a TKO last August 7 at Edion Arena.
