Invicta FC 34 is down a bout after one of its competitors badly missed weight.
Featherweight Helena Kolesnyk tipped the scales at 156.3 pounds at the official weigh-ins on Thursday, 10 pounds over the 145-pound limit (with a one-pound allowance). Her bout with Faith McMah was subsequently canceled, per Invicta.
Vanessa Porto and Pearl Gonzalez both successfully made weight for Friday’s flyweight main event, which will be for a vacant championship.
All four flyweight tournament participants, Milana Dudieva and Karina Rodriguez, and DeAnna Bennett and Miranda Maverick, were on point for their respective bouts as well. The finals of that tournament will take place on a future card, with the winner earning a title shot.
One other fighter missed weight, Holli Logan. She will be fined 25 percent of her purse.
