Kazuto Ioka of Japan defeated Francisco “Chihuas” Rodriguez Jr. of Mexico by a unanimous decision to retain his WBO World super flyweight title last Sept. 1 at the Ota-City General Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan.
Three judges Yuji Fukuchi, Nobuto Ikehara, and Michiaki Someya all scored 116-112 in favor of the 32-year-old Ioka.
It was the third title defense by Ioka, a four-weight division champion.
Ioka earned his 27 wins with 15 knockouts against two losses while Rodriguez, 29, suffered his fifth setback against 34 wins and one draw.
