Irene Aldana and Talita Bernardo will collide for a first Octagon win at the UFC’s upcoming event in St. Louis on Jan. 14, sources confirmed to MMA Fighting following a report by Combate. UFC St. Louis will take place at the Scottrade Center.
Aldana (7-4) was originally set to face Bethe Correia in St. Louis, but “Pitbull” pulled out due to an eye injury. The Mexican fighter fought twice in the UFC, losing decisions to Leslie Smith and Katlyn Chookagian.
Bernardo (4-2) made her Octagon debut on short notice in September, suffering a third-round TKO defeat to Marion Reneau. She signed with the promotion after scoring three submission victories in a row between 2015 and 2017.
