Isaac Dogboe joined the undercard of Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Jose Pedraza last month, and now he has an opponent: WBO #2 contender Emmanuel Navarrete. The fight will be Dogboe’s fourth of 2018 and the second defense of his super bantamweight title.

Navarrete (25-1, 22 KO) is the highest-ranked opponent Dogboe (20-0, 14 KO) could face outside of his fellow champions, as #1 Diego De La Hoya is with Golden Boy. The 23-year-old “Vaquero” has knocked out eight straight and has not tasted defeat since his sixth pro fight. “Royal Storm,” meanwhile, is riding high off of consecutive knockouts of Cesar Juarez, Jessie Magdaleno, and Hidenori Otake.

In addition to the main event, the December 8th Madison Square Garden card will also feature blue-chip lightweight prospect Teofimo Lopez against Mason Menard in what should be Lopez’s toughest fight to date.
