Reigning Japanese Youth Super Bantamweight champion Haruki Ishikawa of Tokyo will defend his title against compatriot Ryuya Tsugawa of Osaka on March 8 at the Korakuen Hall on Tokyo, Japan.
It will be the first time for Ishikawa since he won it against Tom Mizokoshi by a technical knockout in the 2nd round last June 27, 2021 at the International Conference Hall in Nagoya.
The 22-year-old Ishikawa has a ring record of nine wins, three losses and seven knockouts.
Tsugawa (8-1-0, 4KOs), on the other hand, however, did not see action in 2021.
His last fight was a 6th round technical knockout victory against Hikari Mineta last October 2, 2020 at Korakuen.
Pitted in the main supporting bout are super bantamweight Kazuki Nakajima (10-1-1, 8KOs) and Shohei Kawashima (18-6-2, 4KOs) in an 8-rounder.
The boxing promoter is Hideyuki Ohashi of Phoenix Promotions.
