Young top prospect from Uzbekistan Israil Madrimov (4-0,4 KOs) will face veteran Venezuelan based in Panama Charlie Navarro (29-9, 22 KOs) in a clash for the eliminator for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Superwelter title which will take place in the Mikey Garcia vs Jessie Vargas card in The Ford Center at the Star in Frisco Texas.
Madrimov (25) comes from Indio California, where he trains with recognized trainer Joel Diaz, and alongside his fellow countrymen are called to become world champions, Madrimov has been calling out Jaime Munguia to fight him when the Mexican fighter was a champion, but the fight never happened, now with only four fights, all won by KO now is facing 40 year-old journeyman Charlie Navarro, who comes from a 4 fight winning streak.
The Uzbek fighter has fought in 10 round bouts since his pro debut, now if he beats Navarra he will become the mandatory of WBA title holder Jeison Rosario, who beat Julian Williams last January.
The match will be broadcast live through DAZN in the United States, RPC Channel 4, and ESPN Knockouts in Latin America.
