
Iwata Stops Ryo in Tokyo

Unbeaten hard-hitting 108-pounder 岩田翔吉 Shokichi Iwata (5-0, 4 KO’s) of Tokyo scored yet another knockout victory, this time a TKO win over tough 成塚亮 Ryo Narizuka (9-10, 0 KO’s) of Saitama.
The entertaining battle unfolded yesterday, October 2, at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.
The rough end unfolded as experienced referee Akihiko Katsuragi halted actions to protect the brave Ryo Narizuka at the 38-second mark in round 7.
The battle was promoted by veteran Japanese Hall-of-Famer Man of Boxing Akihiko Honda, head of Teiken Promotions.
