Iwata to defend crown against Ouchi

New Japanese light flyweight champion Shokichi Iwata will make his first title defense against Toshimasa Ouchi on March 5 at the Korakue Hall in Japan.

Iwata won the vacant Japanese light flyweight title by a TKO in the 9th round over Rikito Shiba last November 6, 2021 at Korakue Hall.

The undefeated Iwata has seven wins with five knockouts against no defeat.

Earlier, Iwata had beaten Ouchi by a unanimous decision last June 5, 2021 at Korakuen Hall.
Ouchi has 22 wins with 8 knockouts against 11 defeats and 3 draws.

The promoter is Akihiko Honda of Teiken Promotions.
