Japanese boxing trainer loses P1.2M cash, valuables to robbers

A VISITING Japanese boxing trainer lost his bag containing a cash of P1.2 million (in Japanese yen) plus two laptops to two motorcycle riding men while walking along Fugoso St. corner Tomas Mapua St. in Doroteo, Manila last March 8.
Twenty-year old Kyosuke Yoshida of Fukouka Ken in Fokuokashi, Sawanrako, Jiromaru was walking together with two other visiting Japanese and Filipino boxer Ricky Sismundo of Highland Boxing Gym.
They were about to proceed to the bus station bound for Baguio City at around 8 p.m. when the two suspects suddenly snatched the bag.
Yoshida has been a frequent visitor of the Highland Boxing Gym in Baguio to learn how to train boxers.
Aside from the huge cash, Yoshida also lost his VISA card and two note book computers – a Mac and Acer. Police are still trying to identify the suspects. (LITO DELOS REYES)
