JAPANESE flyweight champion Suguru Muranaka scored a unanimous decision against former Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) bantamweight champion Renoel “Singwangcha” Pael last July 8 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
The 31-year old Muranaka improved his record to 24 wins with 2 loses, 1 draw and 8 knockouts.
Pael, a native of Matalom, Leyte dropped to 19 wins, 4 loses, 1 draws and 9 knockouts. Pael also fought but lost for the vacant OPBF flyweight crown against fellow Filipino Adrin Diale via a UD last December 2, 2015 in Mandaluyong City.
Pael also dropped a split decision to defending WBC International Silver flyweight champion Noknoi Sitthiprasert last February 28, 2014 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Muranaka, a native of Kagoshima, regained his title via a UD win over Tetsuma Hayashi last April 8 also at Korakuen Hall.
