Jarrell ‘‘Big Baby” Miller took care of business in DAZN’s main event tonight, stopping Bogdan Dinu in the fourth round. The official stoppage came at 2:45 of Round 4.
The biggest surprise of this fight was that Dinu came out better than expected, with Dinu outboxing Miller and beating him to the punch for the first couple of rounds, which BLH had Dinu winning. But by the third round it looked like Miller wanted to apply even more pressure, and then he started landing some hard shots to the body.
In Round 4 Miller would land a solid combination which finished with a left hook to the head and dropped Dinu hard. Dinu barely managed to beat the 10-count and once he did Miller jumped right back on him and put him down again. Dinu wouldn’t beat the count this time though, and that would be all she wrote.
In the post-fight interview Miller said he was battling a cold all week which resulted in his slow start, but he said he was confident that once he got warmed up he would take control of the fight.
Final CompuBox stats had Miller landing 54 of 204 total punches (26.5%) while Dinu landed 69 of 240 (28.8%), and with the win Miller (23-0-1, 20 KOs) continues to look for a world title opportunity at heavyweight while Dinu (18-1, 14 KOs) likely falls back into relative obscurity.
