Jeremy Kennedy will return to action in August.
The Canadian prospect is scheduled to make his Brave Combat Federation debut against Danyel Pilo on Aug. 18, promotion officials told MMA Fighting. The featherweight bout will headline Brave 14 in Tangier, Morocco.
Kennedy (11-1) parted ways with the UFC earlier this year after a 3-1 run in the Octagon. Kennedy defeated Alex Ricci, Rony Jason and Kyle Bochniak before suffering his first MMA loss to Alexander Volcanovski in February.
Pilo (10-1-2), a fellow Brave newcomer, enters the cage riding a four-fight winning streak in the Italian circuit.
Brave 14 will mark the company’s first trip to Africa. The fight card also includes Felipe Efrain vs. Arnold Quero at bantamweight and Sidney Wheeler vs. Abdoul Abdouguimarov at welterweight.
