
Jessica Nery scored a 10-round split decision win over Yésica Bopp to conquer the WBA Light Flyweight world title
Jessica Nery (27-2, 3 KOs) scored a 10-round split decision win over veteran Argentina warrior Yésica Bopp (37-3, 17 KOs) to conquer the WBA Light Flyweight world title during the 2-day WBA KO to Drugs Festival in Panama.
Las Vegas judge Robert Hoyle scored 97-93 for Bopp.
But he was overruled by Víctor Simons who saw it 97-93 for Nery, and veteran Puerto Rican judge José Roberto Torres who tallied 94-96-94 for Nery as well.
In a supporting bout, Argentina’s Clara Lescurat (6-0, 3 KO’s) edged Nataly Delgado (8-6-1, 3 KO’s) of Panama via ten-round split decision to capture the WBA Flyweight Gold title.

Also, former WBA woman bantamweight world champion Chanttall Martínez (20-8, 8 KO’s) of Panamá came back to action after a 5-year hiatus to defeat cute Colombian Mónica Henao (4-2-4, 3 KOs) vía 8-round majority decision.
