JEWEL IN THE CROWN- “KIKA” VS “JOYA”

WBC Female flyweight champion Yessica “Kika Chavez places her WBC flyweight  belt on  the line, this July 23rd  against the former world champion, Esmeralda “Joya“ Moreno,  in the event: “Go on Get in the ring,” at the  Oasis Arena Cancun, in a co-promotion of  “Cancun Boxing”, “Boxing Time Promotions” and “Promociones del Pueblo”.

The clash Chavez-Moreno will be broadcast in Mexico via  “Sábados de Box” of Televisa. While  in the United States and Canada CBS Sports Network, will do the honors.

These amazon warriors met in February 19th, 2011, with “Joya” winning the WBC light flyweight  by UD. The fans have patiently… and impatiently  longed for the  rematch. Joya  has earned it,  by a gem of a performance, defeating Eva Voraberger in Vienna, in a topping fight, which wasn`t a piece of cake!

Yessica stakes the WBC belt she conquered after defeating Arely “Ametralladora” Muciño, in Ecatepec, Estado de México. Since then she`s successfully defended  it against  Italian Simona Galassi and Argentinian, Vanesa Taborda.
