The next opponent of Jhonny Gonzalez has served his time, with a pro career spanning more than a decade, and another behind bars!
Christopher Martin’s day job is as a prison officer in California, USA. Chris says he’s had seven weeks of intense training and is well prepared for their Saturday night clash in Toluca. He promises their key fight will be interesting.
Jhonny who’s seeking a third world title in a third weight category, this time at super featherweight said Chris’s high handed defense is a challenge to pierce, and he must not waste time in cutting down the distance, in order to go to work….no prisoners.
Jhonny’s ultimate aim is to fight for the green and gold World Boxing Council super featherweight title. And at it’s weekly press conference he was sitting beside the champ Francisco Vargas, who also happens to be a good friend.
Jhonny said he would relish a chance for competition, unfortunately not friendly for its duration, but it’s arrangement is a question for the negotiation abilities of opposing promoters.
