Joe Rogan has always been vocal about his disagreements with the company. During a recent conversation with strawweight contender Michelle Waterson at a recent JRE MMA Show podcast episode, the long-time UFC analyst once again spoke about the company’s recent decisions, particularly with releasing middleweight fighter Elias Theodorou.
“Obviously I’m a giant fan of the UFC, I love them to death,” Rogan said (transcript via MMA Mania). “I am so happy and I would nothing for any other organization. I would never want to work for any other organization.
“But I don’t like the way they do things. There are a lot of things I don’t like. They just cut Elias Theodorou. One loss (to) Derek Brunson, cut.”
Another thing Rogan has an issue with is the interim title trend that’s been going on for the past years.
“Some matchups don’t make any sense. Interim titles are preposterous.”
This is not the first time Rogan has spoke up against some of the UFC’s practices. In the past, he has been vocal about his sentiments, specifically with the UFC’s treatment towards Conor McGregor.
