The UFC has added an exciting bantamweight fight to their UFC 224 card in Brazil on May 12th, as John Lineker will fight Brian Kelleher. Combate’s Raphael Marinho first reported the matchup.

It’s a fight that Kelleher has been campaigning for since he was victorious in his UFC debut against Iuri Alcantara. The New York native has called out Lineker after both of his most recent UFC wins also.

Since providing a shock upset in UFC debut by submitting Alcantara at UFC 212, Kelleher (19-8) has gone 2-1 in his last three appearances. He rebounded from a loss against Marlon Veraby picking up victories over Damian Stasiak and former 135-pound king Renan Barao.

Lineker (30-8) hasn’t fought since October 2017 when he defeated Marlon Vera by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 119. He was supposed to face Jimmie Rivera at UFC 219 last December but was forced to pull out the fight with a tooth infection.

UFC 224 takes place at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on May 12th. The card will be headlined by a women’s bantamweight title fight between Amanda Nunes and Raquel Pennington.
