Jason High hit the scales for his PFL 7 lightweight bout with Johnny Case at 160.2 pounds, which saw him removed from the season and the contest, which was set for Ocean Resort and Casino Thursday night in New Jersey.
According to a report from MMA Junkie, Case was awarded three points for a victory and received his entire purse without having to fight due to High’s failure to register within the lightweight limits.
High and Case were matched on short notice after the initial bout that was scheduled to determine the final competitor in the eight-man lightweight championship bracket, Brian Foster vs. Ramsey Nijem, was pulled from the event.
Former UFC fighter High was coming into the clash following submission losses to Natan Schulteand Efrain Escudero. Case, another UFC veteran, was set to make his debut with PFL.
