Jose Ramirez will defend his WBC Continental Americas of the super lightweight division, against Thomas Mendez in a card presented by Top Rank at the Tachi Palace in California, to be broadcast through UNIMAS.
Ramirez claims he`s reached great results during his training camp with Freddie Roach, as part of the WBC Champion, Viktor Postol team.
“I would like to end this year fighting for a world title or in an eliminatory tittle match. I think I am ready now, and I have the experience. My enterprise and Freddie are in charge of this matter. Freddie thinks I am ready but we will need to wait for Top Rank. If I win this Saturday I will be completely focused on what comes next”, Ramirez pledged.
About Tomas Mendez (21-7, 14 Ko’s), his rival of this Saturday, Ramirez said he will be difficult but it also helps him to think in bigger forthcoming challenges.
