JOSEPH WILLIAMS BACK IN ACTION ON SEPTEMBER 15

GL: How’s everything going in preparation for your September 15th bout at Foxwoods? I’ve been training and working hard. I’ve been working with different coaches, so I’m definitely going to be ready to put some work on. I can’t really say what I’m going to do because I don’t have the opponent yet. I don’t have anything to sized up really, but I just know on September 15 I’m going to put that work in.

Joseph Williams: “This one is going to be at 175. It’s also supposed to be for a belt, but I don’t know which one and I don’t have too many details on that yet. I just got the call that it’s going to be on September 15 and it’s probably going to be for a belt to help get me ranked.”

JW: “Yeah it’s like ten pounds lighter than my last fight. I’ve been working right, eating right and I’ve been doing some different things. I just got out of camp with Artur Beterbiev. I’ve been in camps sparring and I’ve been keeping myself sharp.”

JW: “He’s a hard hitter, but he makes mistakes like everybody else. I think he’s a good boxer though and I see him going far in the light heavyweight division. He’s a big dude and strong for his weight class, so I see him going far.”

JW: “My personal trainer is saying that we’re going to do 175 for this fight and then hopefully gradually work our way down to 168 a couple of months after this fight, so we’re going to see how I can do with 168.”

JW: “I’m going with GGG. I think he’s going to knock Canelo out. Canelo can box, but I’m going with GGG.”

JW: “I don’t know about that. If I got time, or if I get invited somewhere maybe, but I’m not paying for it. I know Mayweather better represent and not play with him, just go in there and knock his head off. Don’t even feel him out just put him out and get it over with.”

JW: “I want to thank my fans for their support, come out to Foxwoods, I’m going to put on a show whoever I’m fighting on September 15.”
