British lightweight fledgling sensation Josh Taylor (11-0, 10 KO’s) will defend his silver World Boxing Council title against wily 37-year-old Mexican veteran Humberto Soto (66-9-2, 36 KO’s), on March 3, at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland, organized by Barry McGuigan’s Cyclone Promotions.
Taylor, 27, Impressed by defeating Ohara Davies last summer, and he easily dominated experienced former world champion Miguel “Titere” Vazquez.
With only 11 professional fights, Taylor is convinced he’s experienced enough to face the best fighters of 140 pounds. Former world champion Soto is definitely still one of them.
