Eddie Hearn and company are on their way to Leeds’ First Direct Arena next month, bringing with them a whole heap of young British talent. Josh Warrington takes the lead against Patrick Hyland in the third defense of his WBC International Featherweight Title, while Tyrone Nurse faces Tommy Coyle and Gamal Yafai takes on Josh Wale.

The ever-game TBA is booked solid at the moment, set to face Dillian Whyte, Luke Campbell, Ryan Burnett, Sam Eggington, Frankie Gavin, and Tommy Martin. What a champ.

Warrington (23-0, 4 KO) vs. Hyland (31-2, 15 KO) is pretty damn underwhelming, all things considered. Beating Amagasa should have put Warrington on the cusp of the world stage, while Hyland’s only achievement of note was giving Javier Fortuna a slightly harder time than expected in one of the latter’s off-nights. The Irishman got utterly spanked by Gary Russell last time out, dropped three times in two rounds, and while Warrington and punching power are such disparate concepts that including them in the same sentence runs the risk of an explosion, it’s hard to imagine Hyland having much success.

As far as the other fights, Sky Sports is quite stoked for Nurse (33-2-1, 7 KO) vs. Coyle (22-3, 10 KO) and Yafai (9-0, 4 KO) is still young enough in his career for Wale (20-8-2, 11 KO) to be a reasonable opponent.

If any of the others get decent opponents, we’ll be sure to let you know.
