Anthony “AJ” Joshua and Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller held a press conference in New York on the occasion of the presentation of their fight for the Super Heavyweight Championship of the World Boxing Association (WBA). The fight will be held at the mythical Madison Square Garden venue on June 1st in a highly anticipated debut of Joshua on American soil.

Joshua and Miller developed an arduous press conference before the international media in New York, in a first face-to-face meeting where the pushing and harsh words could not wait for the ring date.

Before the pushes, both fighters gave their statements in anticipation of their mega fight. The first to speak was Miller, who said the following: “I have been through a lot and now the time has come. My breakfast, lunch, and dinner are called Anthony Joshua. My family has gone through difficult times, to the point of not having footwear and sustenance to eat and neither money nor Joshua or this struggle is greater than the suffering.”

Miller continued, “I imagine that your family will travel to see you fight. Tell them that I will take care of their expenses because they will see you lose.”

In general, Anthony Joshua is not usually aggressive in his statements, but the challenging and aggressive language of Jarrell Miller took him out of his element, as he fired back “I’m going to tear you apart, I’m going to knock you out for talking. To weigh 300 pounds you do not hit hard, I do not play to be a braggart, it’s my job to knock you out,” Joshua said.

Joshua then continued “I promise a great show in my debut on American soil, but things will end quickly because Miller will not make it to the final bell,” concluded the champion.

“AJ” will fulfill the fourth defense of the crown he conquered when he defeated Wladimir Klitschko in April 2017 in a fight of the year worthy for the ages. He then successfully defended his title against Carlos Takam, Joseph Parker, and Alexander Povetkin. “Big Baby” Miller will be seeking to attain his first world championship.

The fight is presented by Matchroom Boxing in partnership with Salita Promotions and will be broadcast by DAZN (USA) and Sky Sports (United Kingdom).
