Unified heavyweight titlist Anthony Joshua and contender Kubrat Pulev appeared at a press conference in Cardiff yesterday to formally announce and discuss their upcoming fight on October 28th. You can catch the full video above courtesy of iFL TV.
Joshua, for his part, talked a bit about his experience going against Wladimir Klitschko this past April and being anxious to transfer the lessons learned in that fight to this upcoming one against Pulev. Joshua (19-0, 19 KOs) says he needs to display a little more finesse in his game, but that he’s still willing to go to war if he deems it necessary.
Pulev (25-1, 13 KOs) didn’t have too much to say during the presser, aside from being excited for the opportunity and all of that good stuff. But Pulev’s sole defeat did come at the hands of the very many Joshua just defeated in Wladimir Klitschko.
Of course in boxing you can’t simply say that because Fighter A beat Fighter B and Fighter B beat Fighter C that Fighter A would beat Fighter C, but in this case Anthony Joshua is a solid favorite for a good reason.
