Britain’s Joe Joyce will defend his World Boxing Council Silver Heavyweight Title, which will be on the line, against engaging Cameroonian fighter Carlos Takam, at the SSE Arena in Wembley, UK, on Saturday, July 24th, to be broadcast on BT Sport.
Joyce (12-0, 11 KOs) who`s a stylist by choice, is back in action for the first time since his 10th round stoppage win over Daniel Dubois last November.
Takam (39-5-1, 28 KOs) who`s fighting style denotes being a giver rather than a receiver, comes from defeating North American Jerry Forrest by unanimous decision in July of last year.
Takam, who will fight in the UK for the fourth time when he boxes Joyce. Joyce is determined to gain a resounding win over Takam and spectacularly defend his WBC Silver title, to show that he has the shoots and shots to branch out, near the top of the heavyweight tree.
It`ll be presented by Frank Warren’s Queensberry in association with Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing.
