Light heavyweight Radivoje “Hot Rod” Kalajdzic (22-1, 15 KOs) scored an impressive fifth round KO over previously undefeated Travis Peterkin (16-1-1, 7 KOs) on Friday night at the Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, Oklahoma. Kalajdzic dropped Peterkin twice in round five before the bout was stopped. Time was 1:32. Dominant performance for Kalajdzic.
In a clash of unbeaten junior lightweights, KO artist Ivan “The Beast” Baranchyk (12-0, 10 KOs) scored a one-sided ten round unanimous decision over Wang Zhimin (7-0, 3 KOs). Baranchyk pressed the action and outworked Zhimin, but never came close to getting an early stoppage. Scores were 99-91, 100-90, 100-90.
In a clash of unbeaten heavyweights, Trey Lippe Morrison (12-0, 12 KOs), the son of the late former world heavyweight champion Tommy “The Duke” Morrison, lived up to his dad’s legacy with a first round TKO over Roc Nation prospect Ed “Black Magic” Latimore (13-1, 7 KOs). Latimore had a good first minute, but was then dropped by a Morrison right hand. Morrison then dropped Latimore again with a left hand and got the stoppage after punishing Latimore further. Time was 2:19.
Unbeaten welterweight Ivan “The Volk” Golub (13-0, 11 KOs) scored an impressive third round TKO over James “Keep’em Sleepin” Stevenson (23-3, 16 KOs). Golub dropped Stevenson in round three and got a referee’s stoppage with his follow up barrage. Time was 2:51.
