
Kano wins by split decision

Southpaw Riku Kano of Sanda landed more telling blows against Ryoki Hirai of Kobe to win the vacant World Boxing Organisation Asia Pacific Light Fly Title last Nov. 23 at the Bunka Center in Sanda, Hyogo, Japan.
The 23-year old Kano now has 17 wins with eight knockouts against four loses and one draw while Hirai suffered his seven defeats against 13 wins with one draw.
Meanwhile, bantamweight Sho Ishida of Osaka won by a unanimous decision over Toshiya Ishii of Tachikawa while bantam Wataru Ikegami of Koriyama knockout Shion Tanada of Osaka in the 7th round.
