Glover Teixeira will remain on UFC Brooklyn after all.

Following a report from FloCombat, the UFC announced on Friday that middleweight Karl Roberson is going to move up to light heavyweight to face the former UFC title challenger on the main card, which streams live on ESPN+. Roberson is replacing Ion Cutelaba, who withdrew due to injury.

Roberson (7-1) gets another New York fight, with his last one ending in an impressive unanimous decision over Jack Marshman on the UFC 230 main card. The former kickboxer was signed through Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, and won his UFC debut by submission against Darren Stewart. He would experience his first pro MMA defeat against Cezar Ferreira at UFC 224, before the aforementioned Marshman victory.

Teixeira (27-7) is coming off a loss to Corey Anderson at UFC Hamburg last May. The 39-year-old has alternated losses and wins over his last five fights, most recently defeating Misha Cirkunov by TKO in December 2017. He fought for Jon Jones’ title back in May 2014, dropping a unanimous decision.

UFC Brooklyn takes place on January 19th at the Barclays Center, with flyweight champion Henry Cejudo defending his title against bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw in the main event.
