On August 4, double Olympic gold medalist Claressa Shields will challenge Germany’s Nikki Adler, the World Boxing Council’s super middleweight champion, in Detroit, in an extravaganza promoted by Salita Promotions.
World champion Nikki Adler will have her first bout in North American territory. She’s built her career in Europe where she has maintained her pristine unbeaten record in 16 bouts.
This will be the first chance to win a world crown for Shields in just her fourth professional fight! Claressa has already won the NABF and Silver titles of the WBC.
Both warriors, showing their great commitment and professionalism, punctually sending to the offices of the WBC all their pre-fight weigh-in, as well as all the medical examinations required, in order to protect health and well being.
We are most grateful for the fine work of William Boodhoo, who is responsible for following up on all of these vital requirements.
