World Boxing Council female featherweight champion Jelena Mrdjenovich of Canada will defend her crown against tough French fighter Stephanie Ducastel on Saturday in Schiltigheim, Bas-Rhin, France.
Deja vu, because this will be the second consecutive fight for Jelena in France, defending her WBC crown. At the end of last year she prevailed after a great fight with Gaelle Amand.
Stephanie Ducastel comes from defeating Argentina’s Maria Soledad Capriolo. Both Jelena and Stephanie, showing their great professionalism, smoothly passing all the medical and pre-weighing tests requested by the WBC, in order to protect the well being of boxers.
We are grateful for the work of William Boodhoo, who is responsible for following up on all of these requirements and commitments.
