Kell Brook clowns Amir Khan for demanding second-day weigh-in

Khan has continually insisted that he only wants to fight Brook at 147 — with a rehydration limit.

The lover’s quarrel between Amir Khan and Kell Brook might be just fierce as the one between Floyd Mayweather and Oscar De La Hoya.

As it is now nearly assured that Amir Khan won’t be landing either of the two fights he desperately craves— against Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather — he’s faced with the prospect of having Kell Brook being the biggest fight out there for him.

And with Khan under the same promotional umbrella as Brook, negotiations have progressed further than they ever have before. That said, there are still some sticking points preventing the sides from reaching a deal.

Khan insists that Brook must come back down to 147 to fight him, to which Brook has agreed, but Khan also wants a second-day weigh-in where Brook cannot gain more than 10lbs. Khan took to Twitter today to reference a rehydration clause for the Canelo-Fielding fight to substantiate his demand.

2nd day weigh In. Brook fought under IBF 10lb rule for few fights. I want the brook fight at 147lbs with a 10lb rehydration limit. All the top fights do it. Give the fans the fight they want.

While Khan-Brook would be a huge fight in the U.K., one has to seriously doubt if the two will everbe able reach an agreement.
