Kell Brook plans move to super welterweight

Brook has not fought since losing to Errol Spence Jr. in May

With Amir Khan gallivanting about in the jungle, losing fights to termites and snakes, Kell Brook has once again been forced to look elsewhere for big matchups. Promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed today that “Special K” will have his next fight at super welterweight.

Brook (36-2, 25 KO) has had it rough recently, suffering stoppage losses to Gennady Golovkin and Errol Spence Jr. He was competitive against both, however, and stood up to their best shots before his body gave out on him. Plus, there’s no shortage of interesting fights for him at 154. As World Boxing News mentions, Liam Smith might fight Magomed Kurbanov for the WBO belt next year, which could make for a fun all-English title fight if “Beefy” wins it.

Anyone you’d be interesting in seeing Brook fight at 154?
