WBC interim light flyweight queen Kenia Enriquez will hold her 3rd Annual All-Female Amateur Boxing Invitational Tournament on the Sunday, August 6th, 2017 in her hometown of Tijuana, Mexico. Enriquez, who also held the NABF junior flyweight title in 2014, fought over 70 times as an amateur and won bronze at the Mexican Nationals in 2011.
“This is my way of giving back to the Tijuana boxing community which has always given me their support,” the twenty-three year old Enriquez stated. “The first tournament we held two years ago and was a huge success just like the second edition so we are looking to make it even bigger this year.”
The 3rd Annual Kenia Enriquez All-Female Invitational Tournament will open up to the rest of the state after more than fifty young women have participated in the last two years; this event has been possible thanks to the support of the WBAN.com, the WBC and Enriquez’s promoter Bobby D.
Enriquez hopes to continue to give them the support and motivation they need and deserve while serving as an inspiration of what can be achieved through hard work and dedication.
Enriquez is looking for donations to raise the funds for the medals, mini belts, t-shirts and certificates that will be awarded during the tournament to all the winners and/or participants.
