Former world champion Amir Khan featured in “One Hour with”, the section of the 99th World Boxing Association (WBA) Online Convention where different boxers connect via Zoom to chat with different fans who access the meeting.
On Khan’s turn, he talked about his history, the tough fights he has had in his career, and his future plans, both in and out of the ring. The speedy fighter answered questions from his fans and told what are the keys for a fighter to become a world champion beyond his own fighting skills.
“In boxing, choosing a good promoter is critical. To get to a world title, you have to make sure you have a good promoter and a good lawyer,” said the Briton of Pakistani descent.
Marcos Maidana, Khan’s former competitor, also spoke about their fight in 2010 and said he remembers him as a strong and punchy opponent. He also added that he still doesn’t understand how the Argentinean recovered from that famous hook to the liver.
Khan is part of the AMB family and has a project in Pakistan to make professional boxing. Another initiative in line with the objectives of the pioneer organization.
