“KIKA” CHÁVEZ PRESENTED WITH WBC DIAMOND BELT

World Boxing Council  flyweight Diamond Supreme Champion  Yessica “Kika” Chavez has been presented with the glittering prestigious belt of sparklers, by WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman, in an emotional ceremony.

The grand finale happened on September 30 in the State of Mexico, where “Kika” faced, fought and overcame another great boxer, Esmeralda “Joya” Moreno, defeating her by unanimous decision during an amazing and memorable night for  Boxing.

Grateful to her Family, the WBC for the opportunity of contesting such a fantastic contest, and for Hall of Fame Trainer Ignacio “Nacho” Beristain for brilliantly preparing her, with brimming tears of pride and joy “Kika” was presented the fantastic belt from WBC President, Mr. Mauricio Sulaimán and Boxing historian and genius  Víctor Cota.

“Kika”commented that for her it’s the most emotional and joyful day of her life , because today a dream crystallizes, being the owner of a belt that represents the effort and sacrifice of many long hard years.

The WBC female  flyweight champion remembered  those years of childhood in which she became interested and then fell in love with boxing, a sport that she commented  has fed, conditioned  and clothed her.

Proud of being part of the World Boxing Council,  Kika thanked WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman for outstanding and unconditional support.

She reiterated her absolute loyalty to the green and gold, as the only one for her and Characteristically grinning broadly, said that for now she will enjoy her victory,  to return in 2018.
