On October 1st, right in the epicenter of Ecatepec, WBC world champion, Yessica “Kika” Chavez, will defend her WBC flyweight crown for the 4th time, against Japan’s Naoko Fujioka, at the Americas Regional Center of Ecatepec.
“Kika” conquered the WBC flyweight championship last September after defeating Arely Muciño. She has defended the belt against Simona Galassi, Vanessa Taborda and Esmeralda Moreno. However, a new challenge is now looming on the horizon.
Naoko Fujioka, a formidable Japanese warrior who’s won 3 of her last 4 bouts. She has defeated Naoko Shibata, Anabel Ortiz, Victoria Argueta and Shindo Go.
With only one defeat on her professional record, Fujioka arrives to Mexico in order to conquer the green and gold belt.
