Yessica “Kika” Chavez claims to be Mexico’s best boxer, after her impressive win over Esmeralda “Joya” Moreno,, in the grand finale of the WBC Diamond Flyweight Tournament.
Kika not only managed to achieve the sixth successful defence of the flyweight world championship, she simultaneously conquered the coveted Diamond Belt diamond, contested only by the most prestigious boxers.
Guided by her Hall of Fame trainer, Nacho Beristáin, she has been learning and gleaning the finest points and the most precise technique of The Noble Art. The results combined with and complimented by her dedicated and dedicated conditioning, are concisely packed into a fantastic fighting showcase.
The most memorable moment of the contest was when Kika caught Esmeralda with a pinpoint pile driving left hook, to punch her ticket for a temporary trip to the canvas.
“Kika” is 30-4-3, and 4 knockouts as professional. She conquered the belt on September 19, 2015, by defeating Arely “Ametralladora” Muciño on points. Following that triumph, she has defended the belt against Simona Galassi, Vanessa Taborda, Esmeralda Moreno, on October 1, 2016 , Naoko Fujioka, Ana “Bronca” Arrazola, and “Joya” Moreno, again.
