"KNOCKOUT" THE BEST OF THE BEST OFFICIAL WEIGH-IN AT GAB OFFICE SEPT. 29

MANILA – The official weigh-in of the “Knockout” The Best of the Best Double OPBF Championship boxing card will be held on Sept. 29, Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Games and Amusements Board main office in Makati City.

The weigh-in will be supervised by Boxing Chief Dr. Nasser Cruz and witnessed by the promoters of MP Highland and United International Promotions. It is sanctioned by GAB now under its new chairman Abraham Khalil “Baham” Mitra and the Oriental Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) headed its president Juan Ramon Guanzon.

Pitted in the main event on Sept. 30 at the Strike Gymnasium in Bacoor City of Cavite is the 12-round championship fight for the vacant OPBF Silver super flyweight title between former OPBF champion Ardin “The Jackal” Diale (31W-10L-3D-15KOs) of Sarangani Province and the undefeated Ryan “Sinwangcha” Lumacad (11W-0L-1D-6KOs) of General Santos City.

The other title-fight is the OPBF Silver flyweight championship between former WBC ABC and WBC International champion Richard “Explosive” Claveras (15W-2L-2D-13KOs) of Bacolod City and two-time national open undefeated Jeronil “El Diamante” Borres (7W-0L-1D-5KOs) of Cagayan de Oro City.

The main supporting bout will have 2012 London Olympics boxer Mark Anthony Barriga against Powell Balaba of Quezon City for 8 rounds.

The free to the public boxing promotion is supported by Sen. Manny Pacquiao, Rep. Strike Revilla and Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla.
