Kossobutskiy to fight Sour on Feb. 20 in Germany

Undefeated Zhan Kossobutskiy of Kazakhstan will fight Pavel Sour of the Czech Republic on Feb. 20 for the vacant World Boxing Association International Heavyweight title at the Universum Gym in Hamburg, Germany.

The 32-year-old Kossobutskiy (14W-0L-0D, 13KOs) had two successful fights last year.

He first scored a technical knockout against Abraham Tabul of Ghana in the 2nd round last March 6 at Caesars Palace Dubai in Dubai.

He then knockout Kamil Sokolowski of Poland in the 10th round last Aug. 4 at DiaMond in Minsk.

Sour (13W-3L-0D, 8KOs), on the other hand, had three fights in 2020. But he did not start well as he lost in his first fight against Hughie Fury of United Kingdom in the 3rd round last March 7 at Manchester Arena in Manchester.

But in his second bout, the 38-year-old Sour came back with a TKO over Fadil Pasalic of Bosnia And Herzegovina in the 2nd round last Nov. 21 at Knockout Arena in Gelsenkirchen.

Sour also won by a TKO in the 2nd round against Jasmin Hasic of Bosnia And Herzegovina at Lucerna Hall in Prague.

Meanwhile, lightweight Lucy Wildheart (6W-1L—9D) of Sweden will fight for the vacant World Boxing Association International Female Lightweight title against a still unknown fighter yet.

The promoter is Ismael Oezen of Universum Promotion while the matchmaker is Flavio Oleaga Mirabal.

The boxing commission is Bund Deutscher Berufsboxer.
