Former world title challenger and WBO #5 rated super middleweight Robin Krasniqi (46-4, 17 KOs) pounded out a twelve round majority decision over WBA #12/WBO #14 rated Jürgen “Doberman” Doberstein (20-3-1, 6 KOs) on Friday night at the Saarlandhalle in Saarbruecken, Germany. It was a close, fast-paced fight. In the most defining moment, Krasnigi badly staggered Doberstein in round eleven but the local favorite didn’t go down and battled hard until the end. Scores were 116-113, 116-111, 114-114. Krasniqi claimed Doerstein’s WBA super middleweight Intercontinental title and the vacant WBO Intercontinental belt with the win.

Robin Krasniqi: “It was mega-hard, great respect to my opponent Jürgen Doberstein. But, now I’m back!”

Jürgen Doberstein: “Congratulations to Robin Krasniqi. I’m disappointed! But, for this great fight I don’t want to say anything about my performance until we analyze the video.”
