Kron Gracie did what Gracies do. After an unsurprising ending to his Octagon debut, in which he finished Alex Caceres early into the first round with a rear-naked choke at UFC Phoenix, Kron was joyful about the way the fight went down.

In an interview with Combate the 30-year-old went on to claim that it was the best result possible since he always pictures the worst case scenario for his fights to end.

“It was the best debut possible. I always expect it to be a lot worse, but it was the best possible,” he said. “I want to fight soon and keep at it. I don’t know what happened, all I know is that I took his back and said ‘He’s not escaping’.”

Not only has Gracie already stated that he would like to step in the Octagon sooner rather than later, there could a chance he even gets to perform in front of his countrymen. According to Kron, a fight at UFC 237, in Curitiba, Brazil, scheduled for May 11, would fit right into his schedule.

“It’s in May, right? I think that would be good. That’s in three months. I’m in condition to fight in May, that’s for sure. I fought in Japan, United States and now Brazil. I’ve been all over the world.”

With the win over Caceres under his belt, Kron Gracie achieved his fifth straight victory and is still undefeated in his MMA career. So far, the Brazilian finished all of his fights by way of submission.
