Misha Cirkunov (12-2, 3-0 UFC) will face his toughest challenge yet in Toronto. The Latvian-Canadian light heavyweight will look to improve to 4-0 in the UFC when he meets the always-exciting Nikita Krylov at UFC 206 on December 10th. TSN.ca broke the news on that fight.
Krylov (21-4, 6-2 UFC) has won five in a row, most recently stopping Ed Herman with a head kick at UFC 201 in July. All six of his UFC wins have come via submission or KO/TKO.
In addition to that, the UFC has announced five other bouts for the card. The most notable of the five comes in the flyweight division, with ranked fighters Zach Makovsky and John Moragalooking to get back into the win column after some recent setbacks. Moraga has lost two in a row, while Makovsky is just 1-3 in his last four.
The rest of the fights feature Canadian talent. Former strawweight title challenger Valerie Letourneau will fight in Toronto, taking on the debuting Poliana Botelho. John Makdessiwill take on Lando Vannata at lightweight. Olivier Aubin-Mercier meets Drew Dober in another lightweight tilt. And in yet another bout at 155, Jason Saggo will look for his third win in a row when he meets the resurgent Rustam Khabilov.
UFC 206 will be headlined by a UFC light heavyweight title bout between champ Daniel Cormier and challenger Anthony Johnson.
