Unbeaten Japanese Hiroto Kyoguchi (15-0, 10 KO’s) retained his WBA Light Flyweight world super championship tonight in Dallas with a round 5 TKO win over Mexican challenger Axel Aragon Vega (14-4-1, 8 KO’s).

The Mexican from Ensenada, Baja California – who was competitive till the fifth – hurt his right hand after landing a hook on the jaw of the Japanese forcing him to abandon the battle.

It’s still unknown if the tough Axel’s hand got fractured, though the problem was bad enough to force the 20-year-old Mexican to stop fighting.

Kyoguchi’s win was his debut on American soil, and now many fans would love to see him unifying WBA light flyweight titles against Venezuelan knock out artist WBA regular 108-pound champion Carlos Canizales (22-0-1, 17 KO’s)
