DAVAO CITY — Former world-rated Toto “Muscovado” Landero (11W-4L-2D, 2KOs) of Negros Occidental tipped the scales at 48.7 but his opponent Tibo “Ilduce” Monabesa (20W-1L-2D, 8KOs) of Indonesia was over at 49.3 during their weigh-in today (April 13).
They will fight for the vacant World Boxing Council International Lightweight title at the Balai Sarbini Convention Hall in Jakarta.
“Let’s have some fun tomorrow. Just wait,” said Landero’s coach Jun Arlos.
The fight was supposed to be on April 10 but Landero needed five quarantine days.
The boxing match is handled by the Indonesian Boxing Association (IBA/ATI) with Armin Tan as the promoter. Matchmaker is Mikko Marttinen.
