Mexican-American Chris Arreola (36-4-1, 31 KOs) will have a third chance to become world champion when on July 16th he fights World Boxing Council heavyweight supremo Deontay Wilder (36-0, 35 KOs).
Arreola has lost two previous title fights, both clearly. ‘Nightmare’ was first defeated by Vitali Klitschko in 2009 and recently by Bermane Stiverne in 2014.
Arreola knows he is not favorite to defeat Wilder, but took this match as a final opportunity with nothing to lose.
” I have to treat this as my final chance for the title. I’m training as if my life depended on this fight. I know the danger of the champion but I am confident that I can spring a surprise,” the Riverside 35 year old fighter explained.
