IBF #5 108-pounder Fahlan Sakkreerin Jr (31-4-1, 16 KOs) stopped Stevanus Nana Bau (5-6-1, 2 KOs) in round four of a scheduled twelve round IBF Pan Pacific championship bout last Friday night at Maejo University, Chiangmai, Thailand. Sakkreerin scored with accurate left jabs in the opening round to continually keep his opponent off balance. In round four Sakkreerin dropped Nana Bau with a body shot and the referee called it off at 2:40.
In other action, IBF #15 122-pounder Mike Tawatchai (39-9-1, 21 KOs) stopped Arega Yunian (3-7, 0 KOs) in round four of a scheduled eight round bout.
In other action, unbeaten Nontahcai Sakkreerin (3-0) stopped Pojjed UbolKela (0-1) in round one of a scheduled four round contest.
Classy 126-pounder Apinan Sakkreerin (1-0) stopped Pattapol Rajlampang (0-1) in round one of a scheduled four.
Jimmy Chaichotchuang, the IBF’s leading promoter in Thailand said, “Sakkreeirn Jr showed a good performance at 108 lbs. His father is former IBF mini-flyweight champion Fahlan Sakkreerin. I am willing to see Sakkreerin Jr become the first ever father-son champion of Thailand. Sakkreerin junior will be ready to fight the IBF 108 pound champion Akira Yaegashi.”
The promotion was televised by Thairath TV 32 HD throughout Thailand.
