Lee Selby plans move to super featherweight

Badlefthook.com

Lee Selby’s featherweight title reign came to an end this past Saturday at the hands of Josh Warrington, but the Welshman is already looking towards the future.

Selby (26-2, 9 KO) defeated Evgeny Gradovich for the BF featherweight belt back in 2015, then successfully defended it against Fernando Montiel, Eric Hunter, Jonathan Victor Barros, and Eduardo Ramirez before falling to Warrington (27-0, 6 KO).

The IBF super featherweight title is actually vacant at the moment; Tevin Farmer and Billy Dib were ordered to fight for it and are apparently planning to do so later this summer. Considering the state of the sanctioning body’s top 10, it shouldn’t take Selby long at all to work his way into title contention.

Also, I checked and @leeselby130 isn’t taken, so Selby is free to update his Twitter account for accuracy. At the same time, there’s nothing stopping me from taking it. The temptation is strong.
