FILIPINO challenger Adrian “Wild Beast” Lerasan of Antipolo City and reigning World Boxing Association (WBA) Asia super flyweight champion Nattapong Janseak of Thailand both make their weight today, August 18 in Bangkok.
They both made 115 pounds under the supervision of WBA Asia chairman Won Kim of Korea.
“I’m ready already, it’s a mess,” said Lerasan, who is now called also as the “Thai Killer”.
The 23-year-old Lerasan ate “bulalo” immediately after the weigh-in.
It will be the second fight this year for Lerasan but the fourth straight win.
Lerasan has a total of 11 wins, four loses and four knockouts.
In his last fight, Lerasan scored a technical knockout in the 7th round against Phongsaphon Panyakum for the WBC Asian Boxing Council super flyweight title last February 26, 20222 in Thailand.
Lerasan earlier won two titles both in Thailand. He first captured the vacant WBA Asia super flyweight title by a TKO over Tanes Ongiunta in the 8th round last March 1, 2020 at the Suamlum Night Bazaar in Ratchadaphisek, Bangkok.
Lerasan also knocked out Suradech Ruhasiri in the 5th round for the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council Continental super flyweight last October 2, 2021 in I-Mobile Football Stadium at Buriram.
Nattapong, however, is still undefeated with 10 wins and six knockouts.
The fight will be shown on PPTV Channel 36.
