LFA middleweight champion Anthony Hernandez to compete on new season of ‘Contender Series’

Another LFA champion is headed to the UFC. Sort of.

Anthony Hernandez, the recently-crowned LFA middleweight champion, has signed to fight fellow undefeated prospect Jordan Wright on the June 19 episode of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contenders Series, MMA Fighting has learned.

Hernandez (6-0) defeated Brendan Allen to win the title in January, while Wright (9-0), nicknamed “The Beverly Hills Ninja,” is also coming off an LFA win in January.

After a successful first season, “DWTNCS” is returning this summer for a sophomore run, though, the promotion has yet to officially announce the news or any fights.
